MSR and bracket installation

Modified on Mon, 31 Mar at 5:51 PM

1. To install the bracket, we will be removing the front screen to allow access to the motherboard and bracket. unscrew the 4 screws located beneath the I/O shield.

2. Using the indentations provided on the corner of the screen, pry the screen with a plastic pry bar or alternative malleable plastic to prevent any damage to components. You can also use a malleable plastic card or guitar pick to open the chassis. When prying open the screen, only pry open the left, right and bottom section of the POS screen. The upper section of the POS terminal is help on with sliding tabs.

4. Once the screen has been pried off, you should be able to slide it off without resistance with a downwards motion towards the stand.

5. Once the screen is laid flat on the table, you can work on removing the cover for the bracket port. You can slide the bracket cover tab off with a pen, or a solid item with a rubber base to prevent damage. Once the tab is unclipped, the cover should come off easily.

6. Moving forward with the cover removed, you can install your MSR onto your bracket as shown. Once completed, you can then install the bracket into your terminal.

7. For our motherboard compatible MSR, you can now connect the included cables as shown below. Please be sure the plug our provided MSR into the 4 pronged slot in the specific color match as the image shown.

8. Once completed, you can return the screen to its original position. Please be sure to slide the screen upwards into the clips, confirm that there are no gaps on the upper section of the screen before pressing the rest of the screen down until all clips click in place. Once that is done, screw the 4 screws from step 1. back in place.
