This article is to address the inverted touch issue on Standard Fold units, where user clicks on right but shows on left of the screen.
Capacitive Touchscreen USB Firmware Upgrade Guide
Step 1: Connect the Hardware
- Ensure the USB cable is connected to the machine's USB port.
- Verify that the controller board is connected to the touchscreen.
Step 2: Open the Upgrade Tool
- Launch the firmware upgrade utility (IITek USB Upgrade Tool).
- Click the "Search" button.
If the device is detected successfully and a device information row appears in the list, the connection is normal and you can proceed with the upgrade.
Step 3: Load the Firmware File
- Click the "Load Hex" button.
- Browse and select the firmware file to be loaded (a file with the .hex extension [CDS for CDS, MainScreen is for main display. First Displayed 'AP-1' is main, 'AP-2' is CDS).
- After the file is loaded successfully, click "OK" to confirm.
Step 4: Start the Upgrade
- Click the "Upgrade" button.
- The system will begin updating the touchscreen firmware.
- The upgrade process takes approximately 25 seconds.
- During the update, a progress bar will be displayed.
Step 5: Complete the Upgrade
- When the message "Upgrade successfully" appears, click "OK".
- The firmware upgrade process is now complete.
- Reconnect the touchscreen to the host system and test its functionality.
Troubleshooting Notes
- If no device appears after clicking Search, check:
- USB cable connection
- Touch controller connection to the display
- USB drivers and USB port functionality
- Only use the correct .hex firmware file intended for the touchscreen model being upgraded.
