I have connected everything, why is it not working/printing?

Our receipt printers support ESC/POS commands and the ability to print/compatibility is solely depended on the POS software you intend to use. Receipt printers work differently from a ordinary paper printer, you may not print by connecting the printer to the computer, as it will not be discoverable and the command type is different from printing from a word document for example. You must use a dedicated POS software for receipt printing.

If you are using USB connection, please make sure you have downloaded and installed the driver for the proper operating system, and check if your POS software is able to discover the printer. If not, you may need to contact software provider on compatibility and provide them the SDK if needed for custom solution.

If you are using Ethernet/LAN/WiFI connection. please make sure you have connected your printer to the router via Ethernet Cable, or Wirelessly if using WiFi (Not your computer), and your computer is connected to the same network. Then make sure the IP address subnet of the two devices are the same (ie. Both IP addresses are 192.168.1.XXX, if your printer's IP is 192.168.0.XXX and your computer's IP is 192.168.1.XXX, it will not work). You may perform a Self-Test Print on printer to determine the IP address of the printer. Change the IP address of printer if needed to fit to the in subnet or you may also perform DHCP process to automatically refetch an IP address within the network. Once IP addresses are in the same subnet, make sure your POS software supports Ethernet IP input and ESC/POS commands. If unsure, please contact software provider to confirm, provide SDK if needed for custom solution.

If you are using Bluetooth, please make sure your POS software supports ESC/POS commands and is able to pair bluetooth printer within the app (You can NOT pair with the printer via System's default pairing method, it has to be done via software). If yes, proceed with your POS software setting, and search for the bluetooth printer and pair. Contact your software provider if unsure and provide them the SDK if needed for custom solution.
