DHCP Operation Process

Modified on Wed, 3 May, 2023 at 1:50 PM

I. DHCP Activation:

Operation:

1. With the printer powered off, open the paper compartment cover, press and hold the FEED button while turning on the printer. Wait for the red light above the button to flash alternately four times, then release the FEED button, press it three more times, and close the paper compartment cover. The printer will enable the DHCP function and print the DHCP gateway parameters. Make sure the printer has paper.

2. Special Note:

A. When DHCP is activated, the self-test page will not print IP information, which is normal, because the printer is acquiring the IP address and has no parameter information, so it does not print.

B. When enabling DHCP, the printed network parameter IP is all zeros, which is normal, because the printer is acquiring the IP address.

II. Acquiring Network Address:

Operation:

1. With the printer powered on, open the paper compartment cover, press the FEED button once, and then close the paper compartment cover. The printer will print the current network parameters.

2. Note: Make sure there is paper when closing the cover.

III. DHCP Deactivation

Operation:

1. With the printer powered off, open the paper compartment cover, press and hold the FEED button while turning on the printer. Wait for the red indicator light above the button to flash alternately four times, then release the FEED button and press it four more times. Close the paper compartment cover, and the printer will disable the DHCP function and print the default network parameters.

2. Note:

Make sure there is paper when closing the cover.

IV. Operation Process:

1. The printer is set to DHCP enabled by default, so it can be connected directly to the router using an Ethernet cable.

2. To acquire the network address, power on the printer, open the paper compartment cover, press the FEED button once, and then close the paper compartment cover. The printer will print the current network parameters. Make sure there is paper when closing the cover.
